The Science of Color™ Featured in Interiors 08/04/2022

Gillan C. Rose was featured in Interiors August/September 2022 for her color design for the Hollywood Hills house.

From the article:

The highly influential color theorist and artist Josef Albers once called color “the most relative means of artistic expression”. What he may not have also realized is that colors are also integral to how we feel, think, and behave. Nowhere is this more important that in the spaces that we live, love and work in.

Central to the rebirth of this 1925 home, was a love story told in several dozen hues by color scientist Gillian Rose, who introduced what she calls “an intricate symphony of harmonious colors, flowing from one space to another.”

“The design for the new renovation, is all about using what we have: placing the furniture and art we have collected over many years within these beautifully painted rooms,” Desmond says. “We have been living in the house for almost a year and imagining what it will become.”
