Colors and Descriptions
1. Fountain of Youth – It was our client’s desire for eternal youth, that inspired the creation of this softest of celadons.
2. Cullinan Mines – Named after the most significant Blue Diamond mines in the world, Cullinan, South Africa
3. Atmosphere – The color of my grandmother’s sun-flooded kitchen. The walls and ceiling were blanketed in a high gloss version of this heavenly shade. It’s been a labor of love and years in the making to recreate this color from the archives of my mind.
4. Elephant Walk – Takes its name from Elizabeth Taylor's movie of the same name. This shade of brown/taupe includes a considerable amount of red pigment, making it a warm if not hot shade of Elephant.
5. Saint Barths – Sea to Sky, where does one stop and the other begin? Does it matter? Certainly not once you've arrived.
6. London Fog – The softest yet still a warm shade of gray. For times when less energy and more contemplation is what’s called for.
7. Bond Girl – This shade was inspired by the culmination of all the Bond Girls icy pink lipsticks from the 1960s.
8. Wisdom – Images of Socrates contemplating the universe served as the inspiration for this deepest shade of midnight. No hint of green here.
9. Keshi Pearl – If you’ve ever had the pleasure of holding one of these lovelies, you would know how it inspired this delicate shade of pearl.
10. Wet Porcelain –My first sight of wet porcelain, took my breath away. It’s not as bright white as the kiln-dried porcelain. Its ability to harmonize with most colors softens any form of harsh contrast, that often exists between whites and stronger colors.
11. I Do – This concoction is not to be taken lightly. This delicate shade of Lavender evokes powerful visceral responses.
12. Gstaad – This is creamy white. It offers a complex formula of many shades, most of which are not seen to by the naked eye, but are certainly experienced.
13. Mount Jungfrau – The warmth of this complex white, offers a gentle pinkish candlelight glow.
14. Powdered Wig – A truly cool mix of pigments with a nod towards lavender.
15. Delicious – Named after how it can make one feel. It’s reminiscent of spun sugar with an ever-so-slight hint of pink. Make no mistake this is not Barbie’s pink.
16. Sunkissed – This shade evokes both warmth and gentle sun rays upon one’s skin.
17. Don’t Eat Yellow Snow – Frank knew, it remains prudent advice. While this shade offers the energy of yellow, it has acid-green undertones.
18. Happiness –This color offers a hint of peach, in its decidedly welcoming and understated hue.
19. Whistler Blackcomb – A nod to my childhood on the coast of British Columbia. This is the whitest and coolest color in the collection. Yet, as with all in the collection, its color mix is quite complex.
20. Crème Fresh – The colors of a French dairy conjures up a lovely mélange of whites, ivories, and pinks. This one definitely leans to the peachy side.
21. Mount Rosa – This complex shade of white offers a cooler, and greener shade of neutral.
22. Sage Advice – This is our nod to the nuances of sage and cooler tones of celadon.
23. Le Louvre – This shade had the audacity to claim its origins from the limestone blocks of The Louvre. Its creation has met its intention, enhancing art collections throughout the world. This complex mix offers equal parts of red and green to bring out the fullest tones of any work of art.
24. East Hampton – Created from my earliest memories of light filtering through the trees, against the historic vocabulary of clapboard East Hampton homes. This is both a warm yet understated shade of weathered cedar.
25. Clotted Cream – The color of an English dairy offers warmer tones, based on the sky and the light. This shade errs on the side of warmer side of ivory.
26. Vellum – A nod to a time when it wasn’t simply to sketch upon. Art Deco celebrated this glorious material on walls, furniture and libraries filled with its covered collections. This shade offers its warmth that has both pink and yellow influences.
27. Versailles – Before these was The Louvre, there was Versailles. Age and history enhance the patina of Versailles limestone. One that offers warmer and deeper almost caramel-colored tones.
28. Coffee Light –If this is how you drink your coffee, allowing just a splash of coffee to remain. Then this is for you. This shade offers both warmth and lightness – no sugar.
29. Pompeii – The redness of Pompeian clay earth permeates everything here. They are the colors of milk and honey which filter throughout the remains of Pompeii.
30. Jasper John – Yes, he was our muse in the creation of this color. It was our long-time client’s collection of Jasper Johns 0-9 (Gray) 1963, that called for its own color to be created especially for the series. It's a complex mix of taupe and heather, leaning towards lavender.
31. Walk on the Wild Side – This color conjures up Lou Reed and his unassuming band manager Andy Warhol. This shade of psychedelic green will not disappoint. This color is not for the timid.
32. Monet – This most unusual shade of green is alive and well in Giverny. This shade is cooler than most greens, as it has a strong shade of white in its makeup.
33. Armani – The master of couture and nuanced color. Armani’s shades of the 80’s proved as inspiration for this deeply pigmented shade of evocative heather.
34. Teenager –This color was named because of its freshness. This is a true springtime shade of green.
35. America – This is a true American Federalist color. Nothing more or nothing less. It lives up to its name as highly pigmented deep blue teal.
36. Lahey Sky –This shade is the deepest of ocean blues with equal amounts of green. One could easily get lost in thought by this ocean of color.
37. Hot Salmon – This is the shade of fresh Coho Salmon. This shade is an equal mix of hot pink and hot orange.
38. Firenze – How does the symphony of Florentine terracotta roofs not come to mind? This is a deep yet soft shade of yellow orange.
39. Gauguin –Time spent in French Polynesia made his use of the deepest of red oranges’ prolific. The depth and heat of this shade radiates a true passion for all who resonate with it.
40. Rose Petals – Their pigment begins to soften and fade as the light and air dry these fallen petals. This shade is as soft as the petals it represents.
41. Ferrari Rosso Rubino – If you are looking for a highly deep pigmented red that will stop you in your tracks – You’ve found it. FRR has a slight burgundy tone with a hint of blue. There is no yellow anywhere insight. This is the stuff Grande Prix’s are made of.
42. Mocha – It promises to deliver equal parts of coffee & chocolate. This deep luscious color will warm your heart. The complex mix features shades of brown with hints of lavender.
43. Mount Vesuvius – This is a deeply pigmented white. It takes its strong green influence from the ash that inspired it.
44. Mount Blanc – This is the darkest of our whites and included shades of gray within its makeup. This is an overtly cool white.
45. Balmoral – As in the Queen’s summer residence in the Scottish Highlands. This shade takes its cue from the heathered highlands. This color is one of the more muted shades within the collection, it is a sublime shade of dusty violet.
46. Quicksand – Is one of the few intentionally gray shades we offer. As its inspiration there are pink hues within this complex mix.
47. Cassis – Kir Royal, anyone? This was the inspiration for this deeply toned purple shade. It features equal parts of red and blue in its composition.
48. Tahitian Pearl – This sublime shade is the kissing cousin of black, yet not nearly as severe. Red pigments permeate this shade of our most revered dark pearl.
