Yves Klein: Painter and Colorist

Yves Klein (1928-1962)

On some level we are all drawn to who and what resonates within us. For me, that has always been color. Not simply color as pigment, but as a path leading to uninhibited contemplation, a way into abstract thought and conceptual forms of expression. Yves Klein’s work was colorful and uninhibited, abstract and conceptual, contemplative and thought-provoking, and utterly expressive. He ventured into music, theater and writing plays, poetry, and books. He was insatiably curious and creative. That speaks to me on a soul level.
